Always a Bridesmaid....

Always a Bridesmaid....

I'm going to take a quick moment to humble brag. I've been in a handful of weddings because I'm sort of a kick-ass friend and am also very fun to have at a party. And, if we're being totally honest, all of the dresses I've had to wear in weddings were actually somewhat decent... At least on the surface. Let me break it down for you...

The first wedding I was in (maid of honor, thank you very much) we all ordered our dresses from a BIG wedding dress/bridesmaids' dress company who will remain unnamed and they came in the wrong color (the swatches were switched online).

We can also talk about the TWO bridesmaid dresses I had that ripped apart at the seams while I was on the dance floor (yes - two separate occasions with dresses I had spent hundreds of dollars on).

Over the summer, I was a guest at a few weddings and I had the hardest time finding dresses that fit the color palette, season, style, etc. of the events. Everything was so expensive and such poor quality. I was actually really surprised that it was so hard to find something that was wearable without me feeling like I was going to prom (sorry Dillard's but I don't want to shop with ya anymore).

So, when Fame & Partners reached out to me and offered to send me a dress from their new line for bridesmaids and wedding guests - I jumped at the chance. Their dresses are all made to order which means you can skip the tailor and you're able to customize all kinds of details regarding the dress (think hem length, strap width, and even extra details like a ruffle here or a bow there!). I chose the Jennifer and after some gentle coaxing from Lauren with Lunabear Studios, I opted for this incredible fire-engine-red color.

The dress came in much quicker than I expected and arrived in the cutest box. The quality is impressive and the fit was PERFECT. And honestly, it just made me feel so glamorous I hardly knew what to do with myself. I pretty much want to live in this gown, you guys. So, I did what anyone in my position would do; I orchestrated a shoot so I could live out my Hollywood glam dreams. Noelle with Eglow Boost Beauty did my hair and makeup and the incomparable Lunabear Studios shot the images. I created this custom install with one of our custom arches (available to rent for our custom package!) and I absolutely love the way everything came together!

All I have to say is that if being a bridesmaid means I get to look this good, then I'm cool to always be a bridesmaid and never a bride. Huge thanks to Fame & Partners for the chance to tackle a fun creative project. We had the best time!
