I first met Amy when I hired her to do a day in the life photoshoot for me nearly 5 years ago. I had recently quit my day job to pursue flowers full time and I wanted to document where I was at in life. I emailed her and let her know that I didn’t have any kids or a husband but that I felt like my day to day was something I’d want to look back on. If I remember correctly, I joked that she could take pictures of me watching netflix in my underwear if she really wanted to capture my reality. So, she came over one morning and followed me around taking photos of my pretty run of the mill day. We hit it off right away and after our shoot, always remained friends. A few months later, Amy moved to Brooklyn and not long after her move, she went on her first date with Jerred. She knew immediately that he was the one for her and in August, they made it official. I created bouquets for her day, stood up as a bride’s maid, and had a great time sipping on soju at the reception. Scroll through for my favorite moments from her wedding day!
Amy and Jerred tied the knot in a sweet little chapel in Brooklyn and the reception was housed in the restaurant where they shared their first date. Each part of the day was so thoughtfully THEM. For floral, we kept it simple with just bouquets and boutonnieres. To stay in line with Amy’s more classic and minimal vibe, I kept her color palette soft and included some dreamy pops of plum for some depth.
My faaaaavoite part of the wedding day was the second line!! We partied through the streets of Brooklyn between the ceremony and reception having the absolute best time.
The evening wrapped up with a delicious dinner, endless cocktails, and some loudly-sung Lizzo at Hamilton’s.
