We never shy away from a challenge, and styled shoots like these are the perfect opportunity to take them on and flex our creative muscles. For this fine-art inspired Tucson shoot, we partnered up with our favorite wedding visionary, Molly Donovan, to create something unexpected and gorgeous with ingredients that people might not typically love. You already saw the last shoot that made us believe you could make baby's breath look cool-as-hell. The challenge this time? The ever-classic lily.
We opted to update these lilies by layering them on top of each other so they climbed up the fireplace at our venue. A monochromatic palette kept it modern and varied stem lengths gave us all the interest that your average lily arrangement just doesn't always achieve.
Now, please pause as we take a collective moment of silence for Olivia's black and rose gold floral suit that even Harry Styles would lust after. We are biiiig believers that more is more and that dream of a suit hits ALL the high notes for us. A quick wardrobe change added a classic veil and over-sized pearl barrettes into the mix, creating another modern update on some classic wedding elements.
After a day of shooting, we got to watch as the surprise of the day unfolded. As we grabbed our final sunset shots, Jordan got down on one knee and proposed to Olivia and we all ugly cried. You can see the photos of THE moment below so you can ugly cry with us, too.
