Erin and Joey did… our favorite thing. They knew what they liked, they hired a rad planner who aligned with their vision, and they let us run free to bring it to life. They tied the knot in November but thanks to the gorgeous backdrop of The Scott resort in Scottsdale, their design sent us to a tropical summer vacation with exotic blooms and epic palm leaves.
As usual, we die for the installation that set the stage for their ceremony. The Scott anchored their ceremony space with this stone wall that screams ancient ruins and we transformed the space with a mix of massive dried and fresh palm leaves, pampas grass, and luxe blooms like those phalaenopsis orchids and blush anthurium. We filled this area to create a picture perfect moment for the couple. And can we just say… there’s not a lot of people who can nail a perfect first kiss shot, but Erin and Joey certainly did.
After ceremony, guests were transported by a Havana inspired design in reception. A pro tip for making your wedding reception visually “WOW”-worthy is to mix the styles of centerpieces on your tables. For Erin, we focused on height and line with palm leaf bud vases and on other tables, we tied in more tropical blooms and white roses to fill the ballroom. Our favorite table were the globe lights accented by little clusters of blooms because it’s an incredibly unique design that we don’t get to execute very often. We even brought in oversize palm trees to really draw the eye up and help feel the space feel cozier! Every single piece truly complemented the Scott Resort but more importantly, the couple. Pro tip number two - book a venue that goes with the vibe of your wedding so that the space accents your decor rather than you using decor to hide the space!
Erin and Joey finished their evening by following the three-piece horn trio from the ballroom into the lobby bar for the most memorable end to any wedding we have ever seen.
