Eunice & Jeffrey's Intimate Santa Fe Wedding

Eunice & Jeffrey's Intimate Santa Fe Wedding

I met Eunice in the spring of 2016 when she was a senior in college working on her capstone photography project at Arizona State University. We spent a few days in the living room of her charming home weaving florals into wearable creations for a small group of models. From the initial project together, Eunice's creativity and professionalism absolutely captivated me and in the ensuing years, I've had the pleasure of working with her on countless other projects. From real weddings to product images for my team to my personal Christmas card photos many years in a row - Eunice's imagery has been a huge part of the vibe of Form Floral.

When Eunice & Jeffrey got engaged, I was over the moon when they chose to work with us to create the floral arrangements for their big day. This vision was always one with sustainability at the forefront; the couple is passionate about mama earth and incorporates sustainable practices into their day to day life. Their wedding is a perfect example of sustainability without sacrificing style.

The two most important elements in choosing the direction of your wedding design are a sense of place and a color palette. Eunice & Jeffrey tied the knot in Santa Fe, New Mexico at Pecos National Historic Park with a reception at El Rey Court. We worked with them to create designs that enhanced the existing world rather than attempting to change it or compete with it. Your venue is, arguably, the most important element of the design for your wedding day. Booking the right venue for your vibe creates the perfect canvas for all of your other design elements to fall seamlessly into place.

After a ceremony nestled in the church ruins at Pecos National Historic Park, the wedding party made their way back to El Rey Court for a casual cocktail hour. Eunice & Jeffrey collected vintage New Mexico postcards in lieu of a guest book and asked everyone to share a favorite moment from the wedding weekend on the cards. It was such a special way to create a guest book and capture memories while they were still fresh.

Eunice surprised her guests with a wardrobe change into her mom's hanbok for cocktail hour and dinner.

And, my personal favorite moment from the day; Eunice's reaction to seeing her reception tables for the first time!

Eunice & Jeffrey's wedding color palette was simple, chic, and impactful. A simple base of white with a desaturated chartreuse were the primary elements and we added small pops of lavender and a light blue to create some depth.

The centerpieces were a mix of fruit, veggies, and flowers with interesting textures and stems.

In the planning process for their wedding Eunice and Jeffrey snapped polaroids of every single guest at their wedding. Each table setting included the guest's Polaroid alongside a handwritten thank you note from the couple. Thoughtful touches like this made every part of this wedding feel so incredibly meaningful.

Often, less is more. We're head over heels for every single detail of this gorgeous day. Every design element had space to breathe and really be seen in all its glory. The night ended with dinner and LOTS of dancing and this wedding will be one we think about for years to come.
