Paige and Frankie’s February wedding at monOrchid was one the last weddings pre-pandemic, in those blissful weeks before any of us knew what was right around the corner. We certainly went out in serious style with these two though! Paige and Frankie have to be two of sweetest, kindest and most genuine people we have ever gotten to work with. They were so open and really let us have creative freedom to bring their day to life. Shout out to all our amazing couples who trust us endlessly and let our creative spirits run wild!
Paige had one design request, she loved dried floral, and we were here for it! Winter months are a fantastic time to capitalize on dried floral when some blooms may not be in season. Later we learned that family and friends couldn’t imagine using “dead flowers” as her main wedding floral and we couldn’t stop giggling! We love breaking barriers with wedding floral design and incorporating unique and unexpected elements. Needless to say, that all went right out the window when they walked in. Paige was brought to tears and any fears of drab dead floral was a thing of the past!
Their ceremony was a stunnah of wild romance! We loaded their intimate space at monOrchid with dried flowers for daaayyysss! Their aisle was a dream of candlelit overgrown pampas grass and palms. Fun fact – a guest accidentally knocked a piece of pampas grass into a candle setting it on fire in the middle of their ceremony. It will definitely be a wedding no one will ever forget! Reception was intimate and aglow with a mix of taper candles and votives butt their sweetheart table really stole the show. We combined bleached ruscus, broom bloom, pampas grass, brown tulips and toffee and polo roses for a moody but airy overgrown floral design. It felt like a whimsical desert meadow came in and didn’t want to miss the party. We feel that and wouldn’t have wanted to miss this sweet celebration either!
