Fun. Vibrant. Rainy. Retro... Just a few words to get you excited for todays blog post! Hannah and Samuel tied the knot at the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona on a rainy September day. The contrast between the bright blooms and funky decor with the moody weather made for a truly magical experience among the red rocks.
The detail shots of Hannah's "something blue" heels with the pin cushion protea makes our hearts stop. Complimentary colors am I right? We live for a non-traditional wedding moment and Hannah's mid-length dress embellished with buttons down one side was absolutely stunning. Such a statement piece but still clean and classy! Some of my favorite photos are from Hannah and Sam's first look. The clear umbrella, the raindrops, the BOUQUET!!! Created with perfect peach dahlias, pasta carbonara daisies (yes you read that right), crocosmia, cymbidium orchids, and yearning desert amaranthus. It was the star of the show and totally lightened up the room to set the tone for the day. Dare we say it is one of our favorites ever??
The intimate ceremony was held inside the chapel with two lush aisle markers. Pale peach and yellow anthirium starred in these wildflower floor arrangements. Guests were then ushered into dinner and reception located under a gorgeous sailcloth tent. The signage at this wedding was out of this world and SO on trend. The rainbow welcome sign was adorable and the seating chart with specific locations that are special to Sam and Hannah was our absolute fav!! We got to adorn the grid wall with some fun and funky accent sprays and added a plethora of disco balls to crate a super vibey moment. Our colorful bud vases come in all shapes and sizes and matched this wedding to a T. We included one on each cocktail table accented with a cutie little votive candle.
The color scheme of the reception area is one for the ages. The deep rich hues of green with pops of coraly pink and shades of mustard are just so great together. The mix of the green velvet and black dining chairs is something we don't see too often but was done so incredibly well here. Our fun array of bud vases with some mini disco balls and green cube candlestick holders made up the tablescape. Let me tell you, this set up is Pinterest worthy its so good. The simpleness of the black and white placesettings allowed for more color in other places and we absolutely adored working with Kelsey of Jane in the Woods on this colorful floral dream wedding.
The sweetheart table included a large ground spray and a small spray for the table surrounded by more disco balls and fun decor. After dinner, to end it all, was the disco ball ceiling installation that was the actual life of the party. I mean you truly cannot get any better than a crazy glob of disco balls and colored babies breath shining over your head as you dance the night away. The coolest dance party ever was set on a black and white checkered dance floor - swooning, along with some groovy lounge pieces. If this reception doesn't make you want to get up and dance I don't know what will.
